DeAnne Wingate

DeAnne Wingate began her career in the digital space at one of the first ad networks, BURST! Media in the late 90’s. She quickly rose through the ranks and became a senior executive with a successful career in New York City but decided in 2010 to follow her heart.  This courageous, purpose-fueled journey took Wingate completely out of her comfort zone to India, where she witnessed girls forced into the sex slave trade and worked with children living in slums.

On fire to protect the vulnerable and oppressed, Wingate returned to the states and established a 501(c)3 charitable organization Rippled Purpose to fight human trafficking and child labor through education.

Her initial school in Bangalore currently serves 34 students from the lowest caste. She also launched a women’s empowerment initiative to teach young women a trade and help fund the school.

Using Bangalore as a model, Wingate is partnering with Rotary International to create self-sustaining ecosystems that can be leveraged to positively impact thousands of lives in marginalized communities around the world.
