Kate Rush Sheehy

GSD&M

Kate leads the strategy department at GSD&M — a group of thinkers, makers and “great question!”-askers. She spends most of her time with the Stanley, Southwest Airlines, and MD Anderson teams building First & Only brands. She joined GSD&M from Expedia Group where she led global brand strategy and advertising for Vrbo and launched the brand in 17 markets. Prior to that, she helped open R/GA Austin, where she led strategy and helped make Crocs cool again and launched Fossil into the wearables space. Her work has been recognized by the Effies, Cannes Lions, ARF David Ogilvy awards, 4As Jay Chiats, and more.

When she’s not working, you can find her playing defense for her team in the Austin Women’s Soccer League, nose-deep in a good book, or planning her next trip.
