Temeka Easter Rice is the senior director of brand engagement at Sallie Mae. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing social media and the brand experience for consumers and employees. Temeka first joined Sallie Mae in 2006 as the Senior Institutional Relationship Manager for state-sponsored 529 college savings plans. Prior to joining Sallie Mae, she served as a manager at Edward Jones within several divisions, including Money Markets and Fixed Income. With 19 years of experience in the financial services industry. She is passionate about financial literacy. Temeka has Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Keller University. She is an in-demand speaker at regional and national conference on the topics including personal branding, social media strategy, and social media crises. Temeka serves on the boards of Emerging Pearls Foundation, Girl Scouts of Chesapeake Bay. and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware.
